New Dark Aether storyline intel is also being added for players to collect, which Treyarch reveal will offer more details about Cold War's next round-based map. In addition to a new Outbreak region and transportation methods, the patch notes announce new weapon unlock challenges coming to Zombies at the start of Season 5 for weapons like the C58 assault rifle and MG 82 light machine guns, so this provides another opportunity to earn them for players who missed their chance in the Season 4 battle pass. This includes popular weapons like the XM4 and QBZ-83 assault rifles, and the LC10 submachine gun. Several assault rifles, two submachine guns, and all dual wield pistols got tuning pass. The patch notes also reveal a bit of weapon tuning in Cold War's arsenal. The High Alert perk will soon let you hear the footsteps of those using the Dead Silence perk, which is supposed to make their footsteps undetectable.
